The "Public Gardens" have changed over the decades, but the huge ficus has always been there, never changes. I remember when I used to climb there as a child, when there was a goldfish pond at the entrance, When we climbed the 3 cannons that pointed to Villanova (now moved to St. Elias) and when we played over the steamroller (now located in Villa Muscas). Time passes, but that enormous tree is always there to make us shade and to remind us of the past.
