How I went from insomnia to the best sleep of my life (and how you can too).
Sleep. Some of us can’t get enough of it, while others are in a love-hate relationship.

For many years after becoming an entrepreneur, I was the latter. Like every human, my mind and body needed sleep to function. The problem was, I had trouble actually falling asleep in the first place.

Now, I will say that there are variances of how one would define an insomniac. I wasn’t suffering from chronic insomnia that could do serious damage to my well-being. However, there were many periods when I would only get two to three hours of sleep during the week.

If mild and periodic insomnia is something you face, or even chronic insomnia, read on. As my work, relationships, and overall energy began to decline further, I took serious action to research and ‘self-experiment’ on fixing my insomnia for good.

Remindee is the Android reminder app for people who hate setting reminders.
I use a bunch of different apps for taking notes, recording voice memos, and managing my schedule, so I’m always ready with a suggestion if someone asks me what they should use to get organized. But if you don’t care to cram your phone with productivity apps and still need a way to remember stuff, there’s one you should definitely try.

Remindee for Android lets you create reminders from any app that lets you share content – whether that’s your Reddit client, web browser, or online store of choice. Just hit the ‘Share’ button, or select text or an image and share it to Remindee, and you’ll be greeted by a pop-up that lets you set a time to be reminded of said content.



I found it handy when saving recipes I intended to cook later in the week from my browser, as well as with articles I wanted to read later, and with information about events in my city that I wanted to check out. After you’ve added a reminder, it’ll show up in a list in Remindee, where you can archive or edit it if necessary.

The Consumer Electronics Show opened on Tuesday with thousands of exhibitors showcasing what is arguably the best technology on planet earth at the moment. It is hard to see everything that is on show at Las Vegas over this week, but on Day One we found quite a few gadgets that really impressed us. Here is a list.

Sennheiser Ambeo Smart Headset

Plug these $299 headsets in and anything you record from them on your Apple iPhone camera gets three dimensional audio. Yes, this does not even need extra apps to record its high quality immersive 3D audio. We did try out the audio recorded with these headsets and the results were really impressive. The headset, expected to come to India in the coming weeks, works only on Apple iPhones and an Android version is expected.

Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and HDR are coming to the Razer Phone's Netflix app.
The Razer Phone has already proven to be quite the mobile entertainment center, due in no small part to the device's speedy 120Hz display. However, Razer will soon be partnering with Netflix to improve the experience even further.

In an upcoming software update, both companies will be bringing Dolby's Digital 5.1 surround sound functionality and HDR video playback to the Razer Phone's Netflix app, making it the first smartphone to pack both of these technologies into one device.

"The Razer Phone brings an incredible Netflix viewing experience to the smartphone," said Anthony Park, Netflix's vice president of engineering. "We look forward to delivering this experience to our members around the world so they can watch their favorite entertainment on the go in the best possible quality."

The 5.1 surround sound feature will be accessible by using either THX-certified headphones or the device's built-in "Dolby-optimized" speakers.

Apple's Jimmy Iovine denied rumours that he was leaving the company (AAPL).


Jimmy Iovine said he's not leaving Apple.

The music mogul was on stage at the Grammy Museum for a screening to promote the Grammy-nominated HBO documentary "The Defiant Ones," and during the following Q&A he shot down the reports that claimed that the end of his contract would coincide with his departure from the company (we first saw the news via Variety).

"I am almost 65, have been with Apple for four years and in two-and-a-half years the [Apple Music] service has gotten to well over 30 million subscribers and Beats has continued its successful run," he said. "But there's still a lot more we'd like to do. I am committed to doing whatever Eddy [Cue], Tim [Cook] and Apple need me to do, to help wherever and however I can, to take this all the way. I am in the band."

The Kinda Blue Pixel 2 is now available from the Goo.gle Store.




In the first four months of the Pixel 2‘s life, you could get the phone in two colors from the Google Store, Black, and White. Verizon, on top of being the phone’s exclusive carrier, was also the only place where you could pick it up in Kinda Blue. Verizon and Google had a similar agreement last year for the Very Blue Pixel. Just like last year, that exclusivity is coming to an end.

The Kinda Blue Pixel 2 is now available from both the Google Store and Project Fi. Right now, you can only get the Pixel 2 in Kinda Blue. It only comes with 64 GB of storage, as the Pixel 2 doesn’t offer expandable storage, which is kind of a bummer. At least you still get free photo back-up when using the device.The color is currently not offered on the larger Pixel 2 XL.
